Celebrate with us all year round!

To celebrate 30 years of sKids, we’re bringing a year full of fun, creativity and connection to tamariki and teams across the country. Sites will enjoy themed celebrations including talent shows, art projects, dress-up days, cultural events and sports challenges, with opportunities to share photos, videos and stories nationwide.
The festivities will build towards a grand finale in December, celebrating the friendships, memories and milestones that have shaped sKids over the past three decades.

Our Story

Safe Kids in Daily Supervision (sKids) began in 1996 when two mothers recognised the need for structured out-of-school care for primary school aged children. What started as a simple idea has grown into one of New Zealand’s largest private providers, now operating across more than 130 school sites and offering before and after school care, Holiday HQ programmes, and a range of specialty activities.

sKids is part of Junior Adventures Group (JAG), a global organisation supporting high-quality childcare services. With JAG’s support, sKids continues to uphold strong standards of safety and play-based learning while expanding its reach across New Zealand.

Today, sKids supports thousands of children and families nationwide, creating environments where kids can explore, grow and thrive.
