3:00 – 3.30pm Roll call and Afternoon Tea
3.30 – 4.00pm Supervised Homework session
4:00 – 4.30pm Supervised outside freeplay
4.30 – 5.15pm Art & Crafts / Sports / Music / Cooking / Technology
5:15 – 5:30pm Clean up time
5:30 – 6:00pm Free play
These vary with the day of the week but will include:

1:10 with a minimum of 2 staff on site at any time.
Holiday Programme trip days 1:8 and higher risk activities such as swimming, 1:4.
We are open until 6.00 p.m. daily.
The Programme Manager, or Franchise Owner will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child. If your child is not picked up by 6.15 p.m. staff will proceed to contact parents and emergency contacts. At no time will the child be waiting alone. If within one hour of the programme closing there has been no contact from parents, the Programme Manager/Franchise Owner will contact the local police and Oranga Tamariki for advice.
Please note: we have a late pick up fee of one dollar per minute after 6.00 p.m.
By using our online AIMY enrolment process a parent can authorise another person to pickup the child.
AIMY will also record any persons NOT AUTHORISED to collect the child.
Yes we do! Our afternoon snacks are healthy, nutritious and include; fresh fruit, and a variety of low sugar, high fibre options. Water is always available.
On cooking days or end of term parties, they may enjoy an occasional treat.
By using our online AIMY enrolment process a parent can provide information on childrens’ medication requirements and give permission for our staff to administer this.
Any time a child needs to be administered medication staff will keep a record of relevant details.
Children who self medicate eg, asthma inhalers will still be supervised by sKids staff.
Yes. During school holidays we will take the children on trips away from the venue. The children will be transported by: Bus, taxi, van, walking bus (In some cases this may also involve a ferry / boat trip).
There will be additional staff present, the ratio being determined on assessment of the outing but usually at 1:8.
Parents will be notified prior to the event happening and a sign informing parents of group whereabouts and contact numbers will be posted on the door of the usual venue.
sKids behavior management procedures are in line with OSCAR approved procedures and are similar to primary school policy. These are documented and available for you to view in the on site folder.
These are in place to ensure our environment is a safe and happy place. We maintain an emphasis on being polite, considerate and co-operative. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a child’s enrolment if there are unresolved behaviour issues.
Please discuss with the programme manager prior to enrolment if your child has a disability or a special need. The more information you supply to us the better informed and prepared we are able to be in providing effective and adequate care.
The ability of any particular programme to accommodate the needs of your child is determined by the requirements of your child, the facilities available, and qualifications and availability of staff associated with that particular programme.
We are proud that in most cases we are able to accommodate a variety of needs. Please be aware that a trial period may be required for assessment purposes; this will be done jointly by the sKids Centre Manager/Franchise Owner to ensure that your childs’ needs are being met adequately.

To secure the part time and full time rates full payment of fees must be received in advance or you will be charged the casual rate. Please note we do not take cash on-site.
