Daily Format of an After School Programme:                                   3:00 - 3:30  Roll Call, Afternoon tea 3:30 - 4:30  Half an hour homework, Half an hour outside play 4:30 - 5:15  Art & Crafts / Sports / Music / Technology (Alt days) 5:15 -5:30  Clean up Time 5:30 - 6:00  Free Play

Qualifications and experience of staff;

SKIDS staff undergo training which includes Induction training, First Aid, Behaviour Management, and Safety & Health training. All staff are Police vetted.

Staff:Child ratios;

1:10 with a minimum of 2 staff on site at any time. Programme manager is responsible for the security of the school buildings being used. A pool of back-up staff will be available to cover ‘emergency’ absences.

Approach to Occupational Health and Safety.

In regard to safety and health issues with the children, their safety, physical and emotional is paramount to the service we provide for the parents. Good hygiene practices are encouraged and health issues are covered as part of our programme.

Daily Format of a Before School Programme:

• 7.30am onwards children arrive (signed in by parents)
• Breakfast is available for those who have not eaten at home – fruit, cereals, toast
• Games & activities organized from 8am – 8.45am
• Children who need to do homework have the opportunity to sit in a quiet area to do this
• 8.45am tidy up and children dismissed to classes.
