Introducing Kim Hampson – Owner of sKids West Auckland
To fulfill her desire to work with children West Auckland Area Owner, Kim Hampson joined sKids in 2006.
Kim says “As a business owner I love the challenges and responsibilities of being self employed but being able to fulfill my passion for working with children is incredibly satisfying”.
Kim is actively growing sKids in the West Auckland area, setting up new sKids Centers and adding additional programmes to our existing sKids Centres.
A typical day for Kim has her not only involved in training her own team to run amazing and fun programmes at the sKids Centres that she owns and operates herself but also training and supporting other West Auckland sKids Centre owners as well.
To assist her in her busy role Kim has a wonderful Office Administrator, Nakita Jones. Nakita looks after the day to day requirements of running this successful West Auckland business. “Nakita is so efficient in her role which is great because it allow me to focus on delivering a great service to all our schools” said Kim.
With 10 sKids Centres operating in local West Auckland Primary Schools Kim has formed great working relationships with the Principles and BOT of her schools including;

sKids is an independent organisation which has been successfully operating since 1996 providing Out of School Care (Before School, After School and Holiday Care) on-site at primary and intermediate schools in more than 70 locations nationwide.
sKids provides safe and fun structured care for your children on-site in your school. We belong to OSCN (Out of School Care Network). Each individual programme undergoes the Child Youth and Family Services approval process which enables the parents to access the WINZ OSCAR subsidy & the Programme Owner to access funding from the Ministry of Social Development. The purpose of this funding is to keep programmes affordable whilst remaining viable!
